What to know before you rely on this
Four things, said plainly, before anybody puts a document here or lets the site work on their behalf. Nothing below is a summary written to reassure — each is the true limit of what this site, and its one administrator, can do.
What is locked, and what has to stay readable
Your uploaded documents, the résumés and briefings the site writes for you, and a handful of other fields are locked with a key only you hold — the site can read them only while you are signed in and present. Everything else has to stay readable, because the site works on it while you are away: checking your mail, matching openings against your filters, and timing follow-ups and reminders. So the honest sentence is that these specific things are locked, not that your data is encrypted — most of what you store here is not, and could not be while the site still does its job.
Losing the key file is final
The key that locks your documents is a file you keep yourself, and the site never holds a copy of it, wrapped or otherwise. If every copy of that file is lost, there is no way to open what it locked ever again — not for Ravi, not for anyone, because there was never a spare anywhere to recover it from. Keep more than one copy, in more than one place you will still have in a year. A forgotten password is a different and ordinary thing: Ravi can reset it, and doing so touches nothing you have stored.
There is one administrator, and no successor
Ravi is the only person who can do anything administrative here. There is no second administrator, no delegate and no written handover. If he is unavailable, a locked-out member waits — however long that is. If something happens to him, the site stops, and their data sits there, with nobody able to administer it or remove it. The one thing that reduces this cost: holding two of your own second proofs means an ordinary lock-out never needs him at all.
What the site, and Ravi, can reach
The site gives Ravi no way to look at your search, and there is no supported route for anybody to become you — not a feature, not a setting, not an administrator's screen. He runs the machine the site is on, which is a limit no design removes, and it is said here rather than glossed over.
